My brother is currently in his third year of BAMMC at CSC College, and over the past few months, he has been staying late almost every evening, involved in organizing college events like farewells. While extracurricular activities are important, the extent of involvement demanded from final-year students is excessive and unfair—especially without proper communication to parents. It is concerning that CSC College has no system in place to inform families when students are staying late for non-academic reasons.
Final-year students should be focusing on internships, jobs, and academics. My brother, who also works part-time, has been missing work regularly due to the college’s unending event commitments. Will CSC College compensate students for the time and income lost? The certificates they offer rarely hold value outside the institution, making this time investment largely unproductive.
Adding to the frustration, students are made to pay for event expenses out of pocket, with reimbursements being delayed. Last night, my brother returned home at 1:00 AM, having stayed out with classmates and a teacher until late. This level of involvement, especially from faculty outside class hours, seems highly unprofessional. I no longer recommend CSC College and regret the decision to enroll here.
